White Sox prospect Johnson gets four hits

Second baseman Micah Johnson, the White Sox No. 3 prospect, collected four hits and homered for the first time with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday. It wasn't enough for a victory, however, and Lehigh Valley defeated Charlotte, 8-6.

Johnson, ranked No. 7 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 10 second base prospects list, went 4-for-4 with a home run, two runs, two RBIs, a walk and a stolen base. It was his first four-hit game of the season.

Johnson broke out in 2013, when he hit .342 and led the Minor Leagues with 84 stolen bases, and began this season in much the same way for Double-A Birmingham. He was leading the Southern League with a .329 batting average when he was promoted to Charlotte in mid-May.

But Johnson hasn't had as much success with the Knights. He missed two weeks due to a left hamstring injury and entered the day hitting .218 for Charlotte.

Overall this season, Johnson is hitting .302 with four home runs and 13 stolen bases in 56 games between Birmingham and Charlotte.
