Worth noting

• Pitching coach Rick Anderson is back with the team this weekend after missing Wednesday's game to tend to a personal matter in Seattle.

Bullpen coach Bobby Cuellar stood in during Anderson's absence.

"Andy's pretty adamant about what he wants, and Bobby was, 'Whatever you want, skipper,' manager Ron Gardenhire said, doing his best impression. "I like Bobby. He's awesome."

• The Twins flew into Chicago on Thursday long before Friday night's game was postponed, but still weren't able to avert some of the choppy weather that has hit Chicago in the last week

"Flying here wasn't exactly the most exciting thing I want to do in my life," Gardenhire said. "We did Knuckleball Airlines coming into Midway [Airport]. Phil Niekro was flying."
