Worth noting

• Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz, who is nursing a strained right hamstring, ran in some agility drills on Friday and also participated in a bullpen session for the second straight day. Ruiz injured himself on May 20, and is expected to return by mid-June, but for now said the recovery is a "day to day" process.

• Each of the 11 runs the Phillies have scored in the first three games of their current homestand have come via the home run.

• The Phillies announced on Friday night that pitching prospect Adam Morgan has a small tear in his rotator cuff. The 23-year-old, who is 1-4 with a 4.97 ERA with Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season, will not throw for three weeks, the team said.
