Worth noting

• Maddon said Matt Moore would likely pitch ahead of his typical schedule after the southpaw pitched just one inning on Friday night before Mother Nature ambushed Progressive Field. Maddon speculated that Moore (8-0, 2.18 ERA) could pitch as early as Sunday, though he said a start early in Tampa Bay's series in Detroit beginning Tuesday would be more likely.

• Ramos didn't even realize it, but he earned his first career save on Friday. The lefty pitched the final three innings of Tampa Bay's combined one-hitter. First baseman James Loney presented Ramos with the ball used for the final out after the game.

• The Rays' pitching staff has gone a franchise record of three consecutive games without allowing an earned run. They are the second team to accomplish the feat this season. The Cardinals did it in April.

• The final pitch of Friday's game and the first pitch of Saturday's contest were separated by 613 minutes.
