Worth noting

• Former Cubs and current D-backs broadcaster Bob Brenly will sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," during Saturday's seventh-inning stretch. Brenly was in the Cubs' broadcast booth from 2005-12.

• The Cubs are still waiting for the swelling in reliever Kyuji Fujikawa's right elbow to subside before setting a date for his Tommy John surgery.

• Saturday marked shortstop Starlin Castro's 250th consecutive game played. Castro's streak is tops in the National League and trails only Detroit's Prince Fielder (398) for the longest in the Majors.

• The Cubs entered Saturday's game having hit three home runs in three straight games for the first time since doing so in four straight from May 27-30, 2005.
