Worth noting

• Left-hander Ross Detwiler was officially placed on the 15-day disabled list with a lower back strain. Dan Haren will come off the disabled list and make Detwiler's start on Monday against the Phillies, and Taylor Jordan will remain with the team and start on Tuesday.

• Detwiler has been named one of five finalists for the inaugural Bob Feller Act of Valor Award, which honors the legacy of Feller, who is the only U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer in the Hall of Fame. If he is selected, Detwiler will receive the award on Veterans Day at the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington.

• Harper has been invited to participate in the Home Run Derby, as first reported by the Washington Post. He had until Sunday night to formally accept or decline the invitation, but wouldn't say after Sunday's game what he had decided.
