Worth noting

• Reds reliever Jonathan Broxton, who has been on the disabled list since June 15 with a flexor mass strain in his right elbow, declined to talk about his status. A return goal date is not yet known for Broxton, who recently started playing catch.

"They said he's progressing," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "It's coming a little slower than he would have liked."

• Saturday's 13-4 win over the Mariners marked only the fifth time the Reds have scored at least 13 runs vs. an American League opponent since Interleague Play began in 1997.
