Worth noting

• Catcher Nick Hundley hosted his fourth annual back-to-school shopping event for approximately 90 students from the Monarch School on Friday. The school services children who are homeless.

Hundley was joined by a handful of teammates and Padres personnel at Target in Mission Valley, where each student had the opportunity to pick out a bevy of back-to-school items.

During the shopping spree, students were paired up with players and Padres front office volunteers. Hundley spoke to the group beforehand.

The students, ranging from grades nine through 12, received a custom Hundley Padres T-shirt, a backpack filled with souvenirs from the Padres foundation, clothing, school supplies and snacks.
