• For the first time since being promoted to the Mets on Aug. 27, Matt den Dekker started in right field. Juan Lagares started in center, where he emerged as a stellar defender this season, in Tuesday's series opener against the Giants.

Since den Dekker's joined the Mets, he's only played center field while Lagares slid over to right. But Collins said now that den Dekker's gotten acclimated to the outfield in Citi Field, he wants to see how the 26-year-old performs in right.
