• One day after his return from the disabled list from a hamstring injury, third baseman David Wright was back in the lineup on Saturday, and he hit his 19th career home run at Citizens Bank Park -- the most he has at any away ballpark -- in the Mets' 5-4 win.

Wright is day to day, and Collins had hoped he could get Wright in the starting lineup for eight of the remaining ten games. The plan is for Wright to get Sunday off and then start Monday in Cincinnati.

• Daniel Murphy may benefit the most from Wright's return to the lineup since Wright hits behind him, something made more impressive when you take a look at the season the 28-year old has posted. In 152 games, Murphy has hit .284 with a .317 on-base percentage. Murphy is fifth on the team with 11 home runs and leads the Mets with 72 RBIs entering play Saturday.

"He's a baseball player," Collins said. "Everybody has perhaps some kind of shortcoming, but Dan Murphy goes out every day and plays. He's held us together since we traded Marlon [Byrd] and David's been out. Everybody turns to see what Dan Murphy is doing."
