• Former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy visited Champion Stadium during the Braves' full-squad workout on Tuesday.

Van Gundy, 54, is friends with Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez, who managed the Florida Marlins while Van Gundy coached the Orlando Magic.

Van Gundy led the Magic to the 2010 NBA Finals and coached the Miami Heat to a seven-game series loss to the Detroit Pistons in the '05 Eastern Conference Finals. He has coached the Eastern Conference in two NBA All-Star Games.
