Worth noting

• Right-hander Kyle Gibson looked sharp in his Grapefruit League debut, throwing three scoreless innings in relief. He allowed just two bloop singles and struck out two. Pitching coach Rick Anderson said after the game it was the best he'd seen Gibson all spring.

Jermaine Mitchell connected on his first home run of the spring in the third inning off Blue Jays right-hander Dustin McGowan. Mitchell, who is a non-roster invitee, also had four RBIs.
