Worth noting

• Recovered from a stiff neck that sidelined him Monday, first baseman Brandon Belt returned to the lineup and lashed hits in each of his first two at-bats Tuesday against the Rockies. Belt is batting .600 (6-for-10) thus far in Cactus League action.

• Bochy indicated that left-hander David Huff should be ready to face live hitters soon. Huff has been sidelined with tenderness in his shoulder.

• Bochy said rookie right-hander Clayton Blackburn, whose only game activity was a one-inning intrasquad stint, has experienced back problems but also is getting closer to returning to the mound.
