• Twins prospect Adam Brett Walker II went 2-for-2 with a home run, double, run scored and an RBI on Saturday. Facing Red Sox left-hander Tommy Layne in the seventh inning, Walker hit a two-run home run on the on the first pitch of his first plate appearance in a big league game this spring.

Josmil Pinto hit a three-run homer, his first of the spring, off Layne in the seventh to give the Twins the lead.

Center-field prospect Byron Buxton will remain in extended spring with a sprained left wrist.

• The Red Sox and Twins, rivals in Lee County, split their Grapefruit League season series, 3-3

• The Twins left for Chicago immediately following the game to prepare for Monday's Opening Day against the White Sox. They will work out at U.S. Cellular Field on Sunday but won't be allowed to use the infield, because of snow removal work that had to be done.
