Worth noting

• Angels reliever Fernando Salas hasn't thrown since landing on the disabled list with inflammation in his right (throwing) shoulder, but he felt better after receiving a cortisone shot recently. Salas will likely get an MRI when the team returns to Southern California on Friday.

• David Freese reached into the stands for a foul popup on Tuesday night, and though he couldn't make the play, the third baseman reached his right arm around to grab a fan before he fell face-first onto the field.

"Best play I've made all year," Freese said, laughing.
