• A banged-up Buster Posey was held out of Sunday's lineup. The day game Sunday following Saturday night's game didn't do Posey any favors, but the bigger reason was the handful of foul-ball deflections he took while batting and behind the plate Saturday night.

"The one on the forearm was a pretty good one, and he got another on the leg," Bochy said Sunday. "He's got a lot of general soreness."

Bochy said Posey was available for use off the bench.
