Bogaerts misses out on homer as foul call stands

BOSTON -- Xander Bogaerts narrowly missed hitting his fourth homer in the Red Sox's 4-0 victory over the Rays on Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park.

In the eighth inning, Bogaerts ripped a ball down the left-field line that sailed over the Green Mosnter and above the foul pole. It was called a foul ball, and following a crew chief review lasting 3:13, the call on the field stood.

Bogaerts struck out swinging to end the inning with Brock Holt on third.
