Yankees re-claim Tracy, option him to Triple-A

Matt Tracy, who began the year in the Yankees organization, was claimed by the Marlins off waivers on Saturday. And now he's been claimed again. New York took Tracy back on a waiver claim Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Tracy, a left-handed pitcher, was originally selected by the Yankees in the 24th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft. He's posted a 20-22 record with a 3.81 ERA in the Minor Leagues, and 64 of his 78 appearances have been starts, and he made his big-league debut as a reliever earlier this year.

Tracy, 26, pitched two innings in relief and allowed three runs -- but none earned -- in an 8-4 loss to the Red Sox on April 11. Tracy was designated for assignment by the Yankees last week and did not pitch after being claimed by the Marlins. He was designated for assignment again Tuesday.
