Yankees to honor NYC scholar-athletes

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl, the Yankees, the Public Schools Athletic League and Nike will partner together to host the 2015 MVP Scholar-Athlete Awards Ceremony on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium, honoring 11 scholar-athletes from each of New York's five boroughs.

The individuals will be recognized "for their outstanding academic and athletic achievements."

Additionally, the 55 student-athletes will be honored on the field during the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 26, when Duke will take on Indiana.

This is the sixth consecutive year the Pinstripe Bowl has partnered with the PSAL to host the event at Yankee Stadium.
