Myers, FL...attended Rochester (MN) Mayo High School and was named Gatorade's Minnesota Player of the Year and the Class AA Player of the Year in 1997...committed to play baseball at the University of Notre Dame before signing with Twins... selected by Minnesota in the second round of the June 1997 First-Year Player Draft... signed by Twins scout Joel Lepel.

Signed with Washington as a free agent on Nov. 1, 2006, but did not make the club out of Spring Training...had his contract selected from Columbus on April 18, and appeared in 15 games, including 6 starts (all in left field)...went 4-for-9 with a double and an RBI in his first 3 games, but went hitless in his final 19 at-bats before being outrighted back to Columbus on May 6...went just 1-for-22 (.045) against left-handers, and was 0-for-7 as a pinch hitter...his lone RBI came April 20 at FLA, a run-scoring single in the 2nd that gave Washington a 2-0 lead(the Nationals won 6-5 in 14 innings).

After signing with CHI as a minor-league free agent, led Iowa of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League with 27 homers and 85 RBI in 120 games...batted .353 (18-for-51) with 6 doubles, 2 homers and 10 RBI in 14 PCL contests before having his contract purchased by CHI, April 21...appeared in 10 games with CHI (9 as a pinch hitter) from April 21-May 6...went 2-for-12 (.167) with a double and an RBI...was outrighted back to Iowa on May 8...ranked 4th in the PCL with his 27 homers and a .560 slugging percentage...also ranked 5th in the league with 60 extra-base hits...batted .316 with 8 homers and 26 RBI in 30 games in August...was named the PCL's Player of the Week for the period ending on August 27...hit .360 with 5 homers and 12 RBI in 7 games to earn the citation.
