Spent majority of year at triple-A Fresno, but also made his Major League debut with Giants...appeared in 7 games for SF (2 starts), going 1-for-10 with run scored...was recalled from triple-A Fresno prior to May 9 game in Atlanta, taking roster spot of disabled OF Marvin Benard...made ML debut that evening, entering in 9th inning as defensive replacement in LF and making 1 putout...made 1st career start May 11 at Turner Field, going 1-for-5 (with 1st hit coming on 6th inning 1B off Trey Hodges)...was optioned to Fresno May 18, where he remained rest of campaign...led Grizzlies with 21 stolen bases, while ranking 2nd in games (119) and runs (74)...hit .295 with 22 2Bs, 4 3Bs, 6 HRs and 39 RBI...earned Fresno Player of Month award for April...was honored by teammates as "Harry Jordan" award winner during Spring Training, honor bestowed upon best 1st year player in big league camp...hit .362 (17-for-47) during spring with 6 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 5 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 8 runs scored in 25 games.

Split season between single-A San Jose and triple-A Fresno, skipping double-A level altogether....combined to hit .286 (148-for-518) with 71 runs, 21 2Bs, 3B, 8 HRs, 48 RBI and 25 stolen bases in 130 games...his theft total led Giants minor league system...established career highs in at-bats, hits and stolen bases...opened year at San Jose, where he hit .270 (87-for-322) with 40 runs, 13 2Bs, 5 HRs, 40 RBI and 9 SBs in 81 contests...earned HOWE SportsData's California League Player of Week honors for May 13-19, going 15-for-21 (.714) with 7 runs, 2 2Bs, HR and 8 RBI...earned promotion to Fresno in July and proceeded to hit PCL pitching at .311 clip (61-for-196) with 31 runs, 8 2Bs, 3B, 3 HRs, 8 RBI and 16 stolen bases over 49 contests to close out campaign...was only player on Grizzlies to post batting avg. higher than .300...was successful on 16 of 19 stolen base attempts with Fresno and led club despite playing there only half season...was selected Grizzlies' Player of Month for August, when he hit .307 (35-for-114) with 12 runs, 3 2Bs, 3B, 2 HRs, 8 RBI and 13 SBs...was added to 40-man roster Nov. 21.

Spent 2nd professional campaign with single-A Hagerstown, where he established career highs in runs (95) and RBI (55)...finished among South Atlantic League leaders in doubles (2nd - 38), runs (2nd) and on-base pct. (3rd - .388)...his .291 batting avg. ranked 2nd on Suns, while paced club with 19 stolen bases...walked 71 times against 68 strikeouts...went 3-for-8 with 2 HRs and 2 RBI in 2 SAL post season contests.
