Originally from Tijuana, Mexico...As a young child, his uncle would take him to Padres games in San Diego...Won a Colt League World Championship with Tijuana and had various teammates from that team watch him play in the 2016 Padres On Deck game at Petco Park...Was a member of the Mexico City Red Devils youth academy that also produced big leaguers Luis Urías and Andres Muñoz.

Split the 2023 season between San Antonio (AA) and El Paso (AAA), earning his 1st-career MiLB.com Organization All-Star honor...posted career highs in a variety of categories, including AVG (.285), OBP (.371), OPS (.823), HR (15), XBH (48), RBI (75), total bases (216), runs scored (72), walks (67) and games played (127)...Began the year with the Missions, hitting .284 (75-for-264) with a .473 SLG in 72 Double-A games...was promoted to ELP in late June, and in 55 games with the Chihuahuas, he slashed .285/.358/.425 with 14 doubles, two triples, four homers, 24 RBI and 34 runs scored...His 15 homers between San Antonio and El Paso (hit 11 with SA and four with ELP) more than doubled his home run total in all of 2022 (hit 7 home runs)...Named Texas League Player of the Week on June 18 with SA.. after the month, was named June's Texas League Player of the Month, his 1st-career monthly honor...in 21 June games for the Missions, he hit .378 (34-for-90) with a 1.090 OPS...Finished '23 ranked as the Padres' 30th-ranked prospect (MLB Pipeline)...ranked as SD's fifth-highest ranked OF prospect...Following the minor league season, played for the Mayos de Navojoa in the Mexican Winter League.

Spent the majority of the 2022 season in San Antonio (AA) before earning a late-season promotion to El Paso (AAA)… between both stops, batted a combined .286 with 29 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 53 RBI and 64 runs... For the Missions, hit .317 in 16 April games, .188 in 17 May games, .347 in 19 June games, .330 in 22 July games, .272 in 26 August games and .250 in 12 September games... Registered a career-high five hits, including three doubles, on July 31 in a 13-12 loss against the Midland RockHounds... Promoted to ELP on Sept. 23 where he went 3-for-14 at the dish (.214) in his three games with the Chihuahuas... Was the designated hitter and batted eighth for the Chihuahuas in the Pacific Coast League Championship game at Reno, going 1-4 for with an RBI in ELP's 6-2 defeat... Participated in the Arizona Fall League and hit .293 (17-for-58) with four doubles, a home run, five RBI, nine runs scored and five walks for a .369 OBP and a .414 SLG…he went 1-for-5 in the Peoria Javelinas’ 6-3 loss to the Glendale Desert Dogs in the AFL Semi-Final game.
2021
Spent the entire campaign with Fort Wayne (A) and hit .248 with a career-high 39 extra-base hits (31 doubles, one triple and seven home runs) in 107 games for the TinCaps while driving in 55 RBI and scoring 57 runs...Had a four-hit effort, including a home run and a double, on Sept. 12 in a 7-1 win over the Lansing Lugnuts...After the Minor League season, played in the Mexican Pacific League for the Mayos de Navajoa...Slashed .353/.397/.473 with 16 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 35 RBI...Led the MPL in hitting with a .353 average and was named the league’s Rookie of the Year while finishing as the runner-up for Most Valuable Player.

Was not a part of the Padres' 60-man player pool at their Alternate Training Site during the regular season...Played in 18 games in the Mexican Pacific League between the Yaquis de Obregon and the Mayos de Navajoa…Combined to hit .273 (12-for-44) with three doubles, one triple, two RBI and five runs scored.
2019
After working through a mechanical reset in extended spring training, played in 89 games for the Lake Elsinore Storm (High A)…In his first 14 games, slashed .321/.431/.509 with a home run, a steal and a 16:11 K to BB ratio...Finished 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored in Game 1 of the Cal League Finals to help lead the Storm to a 5-2 victory over Visalia...Finished the Cal League season hitting .220 with 11 doubles, three triples, a home run, 30 RBI and 41 runs...Appeared in 21 games with the AZL Padres where he batted .205 with two doubles, 11 RBI and six runs.
2018
At only 18 years of age, was one of the youngest players in the Midwest League while with the Fort Wayne TinCaps...In 86 games with Fort Wayne, hit .252 with 13 doubles, eight home runs, 40 RBI and 45 runs scored…Reached base at a .341 clip...Placed on the IL in late July with a wrist injury.

Began his professional career in the Arizona Rookie League, appearing in 53 games and producing a .276 AVG (54-for-196) to go along with 11 doubles, three triples, three home runs, 26 RBI and 45 runs scored in first year in pro ball.
