High School, playing basketball as a sophomore and junior in addition to baseball...Committed to the University of Mississippi prior to being drafted by Milwaukee...His father, Russell, was an infielder at the University of Utah...His uncle, Scott Pratt, was an infielder in the Cleveland and Atlanta organizations from 1998-2005...His uncle, Trent Pratt, was a catcher in the Philadelphia organization from 2002-05.....he played two seasons (1999-2000) for Pat Murphy at Arizona State before transferring to Auburn.....he is now head baseball coach at Brigham Young (BYU)…Enjoys board games, ping-pong and fishing.

Enters the 2025 season as the fourth-best prospect in the organization according to Baseball America.....was also tabbed by that publication as the best defensive infielder in the organization...Was named 2024 Brewers Co-Minor League Player of the Year after batting .277 with eight HR, 45 RBI and 27 SB in 96 games between Class-A Carolina (73 games) and Class-A Wisconsin (23 games)…shared the award with Jesús Made...Won a Gold Glove Award last season as the top defensive shortstop in Minor League Baseball...Was selected to the 2024 All-Star Futures Game at Globe Life Park in Texas...Was named Brewers Minor League Player of the Month for May 2024 (24 games, .284 AVG, one HR, 10 RBI, seven SB, .438 OBP, .395 SLG)…Was named a 2024 Carolina League All-Star...After helping Wisconsin reach the Midwest League Championship Series last season, he made his Double-A debut in the Southern League Division Series against Montgomery, starting two games at shortstop and going 2-for-8 with one HR and three RBI.
