Acquired by SD on July 30 from NYY in exchange for RHP Enyel De Los Santos & RHP Thomas Balboni...In his first Major League season, appeared in 12 G (three GS) and slashed .167/.167.417 with a .583 OPS, four runs, two hits, one HR, one RBI and two SB...Defensively, made 10 appearances (three GS) across left field (five G), right field (two GS), center field (one GS) and DH (two G), totaling 34 errorless innings in the outfield...Made his Major League debut on Sept. 13 as a pinch runner...became the seventh Padres player to steal a base in his Major League debut and first since Gary Matthews Jr. and David Newhan on June 4, 1999...Logged his first Major League hit on Sept. 18 vs. HOU by way of an infield single to third in the bottom of the third inning...Connected with his first Major League HR on Sept. 28 @ ARI, a solo shot in the top of the ninth...Hit a combined.307 with a .414 OBP and posted career highs in BB (59) and SB (48) across 104 games...his 48 SB ranked third in all Triple-A.

POSTSEASON: Made two appearances during the NLDS vs. the Dodgers...entered Game 1 as a pinch-runner in the top of the ninth in SD's 7-5 defeat...entered Game 2 as a pinch runner in the top of the ninth and remained in the game in LF in SD's 10-2 win.

2023

Split the season with Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, batting .296/.379/.414 (83-for-280) with 42R, 16 doubles, four triples, 3HR, 28RBI, 36BB and 40SB in 92 games…was tied for second among Yankees Minor Leaguers in stolen bases and tied for third in triples…began the season with Somerset, hitting .313/.395/.510 (30-for-96) with 14R, seven doubles, three triples, 2HR, 16RBI and 17SB in 33 games…was promoted to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on 6/10 and hit .288 (53-for-184) with 28R, nine doubles, one triple, 1HR, 12RBI, 22BB and 23SB in 59 games…following the season, was named by Baseball America as being the “Best Defensive Outfielder” among Yankees farmhands.

2022

Spent the entire season with Double-A Somerset, batting .230 (96-for-418) with 67R, 18 doubles, one triple, 14HR, 49RBI, 36BB and 18SB in 108 games…was tied for fifth among Yankees minor leaguers in runs scored.

2021

Split the season with High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset, batting .298/.352/.495 (89-for-299) with 51R, 16 doubles, two triples, 13HR, 46RBI, 22BB and 18SB in 75 games…ranked second among Yankees minor leaguers in batting average and fifth in slugging.
