Jake Lemoine was originally signed by Rangers scout Bob Laurie…graduated from Bridge City High School in 2012…named 2012 Beaumont Enterprise Super-Gold Baseball Player of the Year as a senior at Bridge City…attended the University of Houston…was limited to five starts as a junior after suffering a shoulder injury in March 2015…was named to USA Baseball’s Collegiate National Team in 2014 and had five games, including four starts.

2021

Spent the entire season at Triple-A Round Rock where he went 7-4 with three saves, a 2.86 ERA and .203 opponents batting average in 45 appearances, including one start. ...Had career highs in wins and games and matched his high in losses…his opponents batting average, on-base percentage (.309), slugging percentage (.312) and OPS (.621) were the lowest of his career…the start was the first of his career. ...Tied for sixth in the Triple-A West in games pitched…tied for second among league relievers in wins (7), tied for fourth in holds (9), tied for fifth in losses (4) and tied for sixth in innings pitched (54.2)…based on a minimum of 40 innings pitched, he ranked third among relievers in ERA (2.63), fourth in opponents slugging percentage (.302), sixth in batting average (.193) and OPS (.604) and eighth in on-base percentage (.302). ...Had a 0.66 ERA and .114 opponents batting average over his first 10 games, a 5.59 ERA and .267 opponents average over his next 15 contests from June 8-July 24 and a 1.90 ERA and .193 opponents average over his final 20 contests. ...His opponents batting average included a mark of .174 (19-for-109) against right-handed hitters compared to .237 (22-for-93) against left-handers. ...Yielded a .202 average with the bases empty, .205 with runners on…opponents hit .238 with runners in scoring position. ...Allowed 4-of-17 (23.5%) inherited runners to score…first batters faced were 9-for-40 (.225) with four walks. ...Logged a 2.48 ERA and .184 opponents batting average in 22 games at home, a 3.38 ERA and .227 opponents average in 23 contests on the road…yielded four of his five home runs on the road. ...Had a .139 opponents batting average with two strikes…three of the five home runs he allowed came on the first pitch. ...Held the three hitter to a .190 batting average and the four hitter to a mark of .143 but the five hitter batted .320. ...Tossed at least one inning in 41 of his 45 appearances, including a season-high 2.0 innings 12 times.

DAY-BY-DAY: Yielded a season-high four runs, all of which were unearned, on May 17 against Sugarland…allowed just one earned run in nine relief appearances in May for a 0.77 ERA… opponents were 5-for-38 (.132)…then posted a 6.00 ERA in eight games in June…made the first start of his career on June 18 against Oklahoma City…allowed two runs on a season-high four hits and had a no decision in an 8-7 loss…issued a career-high tying three walks in 1.1 innings on June 25 at El Paso and also allowed a season-high tying four runs…did not allow a run over a 12-game span from July 26-Sept. 12 (15.2 ip)…opponents were 4-for-49 (.082) with five walks and 12 strikeouts during the streak…was credited with all three of his saves over a five-game stretch from July 29-Aug. 9…struck out a season-high three batters in back-to-back outings on July 29 and 31 against Oklahoma City…did not allow a run in five games in August (8.1 ip) and opponents were 1-for-26 (.038)…finished the season with a five-game scoreless streak (5.0 ip, 4 h, 3 bb, 4 so).

Did not see official game action after the minor league season was canceled due to the pandemic.

2019

Combined to go 2-2 with a 4.45 ERA in 44 games with Triple-A Nashville and Double-A Frisco…began the season with Frisco, was promoted to Nashville on May 9, then sent back to Frisco on July 15…his 0.83 ERA with Frisco ranked second in the Texas League (min. 30.0 ip).

2018

Logged the second most relief innings on the Single-A Advanced Down East staff…held opponents to a .229/.315/.338/.653 slash line.

2017

Saw official game action for the first time in his career, logging the second most relief appearances on the staff for Single-A Hickory…opponents batted .246/.333/.345/.678.

2016

Missed the entire season after undergoing rotator cuff surgery on March 30.

2015

Was the Rangers fourth round draft pick and signed on June 12…did not pitch to a strained right rotator cuff.
