In his third season in Washington, recorded his highest slugging percentage (.374) since 2013 (.394)...Came on strong late in the season, hitting .311 (14-for-45) with three doubles, three home runs, five RBI, four walks and six runs in his last 16 starts...Hit safely in seven of his last nine starts (8-for-23, 2B, RBI, 2 BB, 2 R) and reached base safely in 20 of last 26 starts...Improved his caught-stealing percentage from 23.3% in 2015 to 28% in 2016...Was thrust into the starting lineup as the Nationals entered the 2016 Postseason when starting catcher Wilson Ramos suffered a torn ACL...
