Stan Javier, who played for the Giants from 1996-99, was also born in the city...Signed with the Giants as a 16-year-old on July 2, 2018, when the 2018 International Signing Period opened...Luciano was ranked by both Baseball America and MLB.com as the second-best prospect in the class...The DR native signed with the Giants for $2.6 million...Signed by Giants scout Jonathan Bautista...Loves the beach and the ocean but only from a distance (doesn't like to swim).

2024

Entered Spring Training as the favorite to start at shortstop...IF Nick Ahmed was signed during camp and Luciano started the season in the minors...Played nine games at both shortstop and second base with SF...Slashed .211/.259/.303 with 10 runs, five doubles, a triple, three RBI, five walks and 28 strikeouts in 27 games at the Major League level...Posted a .250/.380/.380 slash line (.760 OPS) in 83 games for Triple-A Sacramento...Had nine doubles, 10 homers and 42 RBI...Collected his first career RBI on May 17 vs. Colorado...Made an error in three straight games, all occurring in the ninth inning at shortstop from May 23-25 (four errors in total)...Left the game on May 29 vs. Philadelphia with a tight right hamstring...Placed on the 10-day IL two days later with a right hamstring strain...Missed 12 games, was activated on June 13 and optioned to Triple-A...Recalled again on July 30....Appeared in only seven games over a two-week span, going 4-for-21 before being optioned back to Triple-A...Recalled a third and final time on Sept. 3 and appeared in 10 games during September, going 3-for-31 with 14 strikeouts...Optioned to the Minors on Sept. 21, where he was going to work on getting acclimated to the outfield defensively.

2023

Appeared in 14 MLB games in his debut season in the Majors...Finished the season as SF’s No. 2 prospect and MLB’s No. 26 prospect overall...will still have rookie status in 2024...Began his season with Double-A Richmond in early May after missing the first month due to a back injury suffered in winter ball…missed the majority of August (while with Sacramento) with a hamstring injury...Hit .223 with 42 runs, 14 doubles, 15 home runs, 40 RBI and a .776 OPS in 74 MiLB games for Double-A Richmond and Triple-A Sacramento.

2022

Started the season with High-A Eugene and appeared at that level for most of his games in 2022...Was limited to 65 games during the regular season between the Emeralds and the ACL Giants Black due to a lower back strain that shut him down from June 4-Aug. 3...Between Eugene and his rehab work in the ACL, Luciano combined to hit .269 with 12 doubles, 11 homers, 36 RBI and an .817 OPS...He returned to Eugene by mid-August and played in 17 games before their regular season ended...in the NWL playoffs, Luciano went 3-for-13 with a double, grand slam and five RBI to help the Emeralds win their second straight league title...Was promoted to Double-A Richmond for their postseason series...went 1-for-8 with one RBI in two games for the Flying Squirrels, his first career games at Double-A.

2021

Played for the National League in the 2021 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game...was also named MILB.com Organization All-Star and Low-A West Player of the Week on July 4 with San Jose.

2020

Did not play due to the COVID-19 pandemic but did play at the Alternate Training Site and during the Giants Fall Instructional League.

2019

In 2019, playing most of the season as an 17-year-old, he received Baseball America Rookie-level All-Star honors as the DH after a standout first season of professional baseball. Luciano finished among the AZL league leaders in runs scored (46, 1st), homers (10, T-4th), RBI (38, T-6th), OBP (.438, 3rd), SLG (.616, 5th), OPS (1.054, 4th) and total bases (90, T-9th).
