Appeared in four games with the San Francisco Giants and going 0-1 with a 6.43 ERA (5 ER/7.0 IP)...Spent most of the season with Giants’ Triple-A Sacramento (27 G, 1 GS) and Yankee’s Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre (16 G) for a combined 2-4 record with a 2.87 ERA (17 ER/53.1 IP) and 69 strikeouts against 21 walks...Recorded his first career save on April 6 with Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre, only giving up one hit in one relief inning… delivered 12 saves out of 14 save opportunities on the season. Opened the year on ARI's 60-day disabled list while continuing his rehab from ligament reconstruction surgery on his right elbow…made 4 minor league rehab starts between 5/29 and 6/17 for Low-A Visalia (1 R-ER/11.2 IP) and Double-A Jackson (9 ER/7.2 IP)…worked 6.2 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in final outing for Visalia on 6/16 at San Jose…was activated by the Diamondbacks on 6/25 and issued 5 R-ER in 3.2 IP in a loss at MIA…was his 1st ML game/start since 4/23/17 vs. LAD…lost all 4 starts with a 11.40 ERA (21 R-19 ER/15.0 IP) before going back on DL on 7/12 with right elbow inflammation…was moved to 60-day DL on 7/31…was activated on 9/29 and worked a scoreless inning in relief with a hold in season's final game that day at SD…became a free agent when he was not tendered a 2019 contract by ARI on 11/30.
