Through our Major League Baseball pro bono program, we match social justice community-based organizations and Diverse Business Partners with high-performing Major League Baseball employees to work on high-impact projects that have the potential to significantly drive social impact and business value.

Pro bono publico, or “for the public good,” is a way for our talented employees to use their professional skills in legal, marketing, IT, financial planning and other areas to support organizations addressing racial and social justice, and MBE-owned businesses.

Through the program, we will be strategic in project selection, identify the right talent among our team to meet the client’s need, and track the outcomes of our efforts. Our efforts will support capacity building, and complement existing social responsibility and diversity & inclusion initiatives to promote community engagement and extend Baseball's ability to contribute to the economic growth, strength and well-being of diverse communities.

The optimal pro bono project will include a defined project scope with clear time-bound milestones and deliverables (see example of pro bono projects here).
