1. How do we qualify to volunteer? Each interested organization is required to provide proof of general liability insurance, W-9, and 501(c)3 status before being qualified.
2. What dates are available? All 81 Minnesota Twins home games, as well as special events and post-season games. You provide a list of the games that your group is available. Our fundraising department must approve the selected dates in advance.
3. Do you train volunteers how to operate the equipment? Does everyone need to complete the training course? Yes, each group member is required to take training online, at their convenience, to prepare themselves for the responsibilities of the position before they participate.
4. How much can my group earn? Donations typically vary depending upon attendance and sales. If you have a specific fundraising goal, we will work with you to meet your target.
5. How many volunteers will need to participate per event? There is a minimum of 10 volunteers per event. More volunteers will qualify you for a larger stand and bigger earning potential.
6. What are the age requirements? For most concessions locations, the minimum age is 18. Minnesota State law requires all those pouring, selling, serving beer to be 18 years of age or older. Then there are a few locations where the minimum age is 16.
7. How many dates are required? Each group should commit to a minimum of 10 events each season.
8. What time will we need to report for the games? Report times differ based on the opening of gates. It is very important that your group arrive on time. For the stand to be ready for business, several tasks including uniform pickup, counting inventory, and cook food needs completion to open the location. To have enough time to prepare everything, the leader(s) arrive first for check-in. For example, a 7:10 pm game, with a 5:30 pm gate time, check-in is 3:30 pm for leads, 4:30 pm for other volunteers.
9. Where do we park our vehicles? Volunteers and visitors are responsible for their own parking. We have partnered with the Hawthorne Ramp to provide a discounted rate for parking with validation ticket we provide. The Minnesota Twins also provide additional security in the skyway between Target Field and the Hawthorne Ramp. Visit www.mplsparking.com for more information about city parking ramps.
