Note From The Artist

Growing up in Minnesota, my first sports memories were at the Metrodome. My father took me to Games 1, 6, and 7 of the ’91 World Series, and these moments have shaped my life. I remember falling asleep in the 11th inning only to be awoken by the roar of the crowd and watch Kirby’s Home Run land just rows in front of me. I still have the batting glove Brian Harper threw to me before Game 7 starting (and a picture to prove it). My first experience crowd surfing (before I became a DJ) was after Jack Morris’ unbelievable 10 inning shutout victory in Game 7. The crowd picked me up and passed me around in celebration. I remember falling in love with a team, the city, and sports in general- and I have been trying to re-create this feeling ever since.

I’m honored to team up with my Minnesota Twins to create this special drop aimed at bringing those memories back from the greatest World Series of all time. From the iconic logo remixed with influences from the Twin Cities, Metrodome, Fall Classic, Trophy, and Twins victory, I have never been this excited to work on a project! I used to sit in elementary school in St. Paul drawing these moments, and it is unbelievable to do it again 30 years later and reflect on the most incredible memories in my life.
