Rainout Policy

Target Field Rainout Policy

In the event a regulation game, as defined by Major League Baseball (i.e. 4 1/2 innings if the Twins are ahead and five full innings if the visiting team is ahead or the game is tied), is not played due to weather, an act of God or any other reason, the following policies will apply:

*If a game is postponed and rescheduled to an open day:

Fans holding tickets to a postponed game should keep their tickets as they will be required for admission into the rescheduled game. Fans who wish to exchange their tickets for another game must bring the tickets to the Target Field Box Office no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the rescheduled game. Tickets returned any later than 48 hours prior to the start of the rescheduled game will be considered invalid.

Suites, Thomson Reuters Champions Club, CATCH, Budweiser Roof Deck and Great Clips Great Seats
Due to their sold out status, tickets in the Suites, Thomson Reuters Champions Club, CATCH, Budweiser Roof Deck and Great Clips Great Seats will be valid only for the rescheduled game.

Season, Group and Single-Game Tickets
Tickets are valid for the rescheduled game. Season, Group and Single-Game ticket holders should keep their tickets from the postponed game as they will be required for admission into the rescheduled game.

OR …

Season, Group and Single-Game ticket holders are also welcome to utilize the value of their ticket (the amount paid) as a voucher towards any future Twins regular season game in 2018. Fans may apply the paid value of their ticket to seats in any Target Field seating area, based on availability. Important Note: Due to the discounts offered for the purchase of some tickets, the amount paid for the ticket (and thus the "value" of your ticket) may be different than the price printed on the ticket.

While fans are welcome to exchange for any 2018 regular season game/seating area, fans who apply the paid value of their ticket for higher-priced game/seating will be responsible for paying any resulting balance due. Refunds are not available to fans who elect to apply the paid value of their ticket to lesser priced game/seating area. Members of groups who are exchanging for the same "new" game and who wish to remain seated together should exchange their tickets at the same time and location. Any exchanges must be made at the Target Field box office at least 48 hours prior to the rescheduled game.

2018 Game Postponements

Sunday, April 8 vs. Mariners

The Sunday, April 8, 1:10 p.m. game against the Seattle Mariners has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up on Monday, May 14 at 6:10 p.m., a mutual off day for both clubs.

Fans holding tickets to the April 8 postponed game have two options:

  1. Utilize their tickets for admission into the rescheduled game.
     
  2. Exchange their unused ticket for any future Twins regular season game in 2018 (subject to ticket availability). Unused tickets may be exchanged only at the Target Field Ticket Office located on Target Plaza off 7th Street. Tickets may be exchanged for any seat of equal or lesser value.
  • Tickets for today's game that are part of the Spring Ballpark Pass are good for the makeup game only and cannot be exchanged.
  • Tickets for the postponed game are not subject to refunds.

Important Note: Due to the discounts offered for the purchase of some tickets, the amount paid for the ticket (and thus the "value" of your ticket) may be different than the price printed on the ticket.


Friday, April 13 vs. White Sox

Makeup Date: Tuesday, June 5th at 3:10 pm as part of a straight doubleheader (2nd game will start approximately 30 minutes after the first game finishes). The Brian Dozier & Byron Buxton T-Shirt giveaway presented by Budweiser for the first 10,000 fans 21+ (Adult M/XL) will also be moved to the Tuesday, June 5th games.

Fans holding tickets to the April 13 postponed game can:

  • Utilize the value of their ticket (the amount paid) as a voucher toward any future Twins regular season game in 2018. Fans may apply the paid value of their ticket to seats in any Target Field seating area, based on availability. Any exchanges must be made at the Target Field box office at least 48 hours prior to the rescheduled game.
  • Tickets for the games that are part of the Spring Ballpark Pass will be good for both games of the doubleheader on June 5th and cannot be exchanged.
  • Tickets for the postponed game are not subject to refunds.

Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 vs. White Sox

Original Date: Saturday, April 14
Makeup Date: Friday, September 28th at 1:10 pm as part of a split doubleheader (2nd game remains at original 7:10 pm start). Twins Plaid Flap Cap giveaway presented by Pepsi for the first 10,000 fans for will also be moved to the Friday, September 28th 1:10 pm game

Original Date: Sunday, April 15
Makeup Date: Monday, August 20th at 6:10 pm (previously scheduled mutual off day). Jackie Robinson Day will be moved to the Tuesday, June 5th game (3:10 pm).

Fans holding tickets to the April 14 and April 15 postponed games have two options:

  1. Utilize their tickets for admission into the rescheduled game.
  2. Exchange their unused ticket for any future Twins regular season game in 2018 (subject to ticket availability). Unused tickets may be exchanged only at the Target Field Ticket Office located on Target Plaza off 7th Street.
  • Tickets for the games that are part of the Spring Ballpark Pass are good for the makeup game only and cannot be exchanged.
  • Tickets for the postponed game are not subject to refunds.

The Twins will be communicating directly with premium ticket accounts which includes Suites, the Thomson Reuters Champions Club and CATCH. In addition, the Twins are working directly with single-game hospitality accounts holding tickets for any of these dates.


Saturday, June 9 vs. Angels

Fans Can Exchange Tickets for Any Remaining Regular Season Home Game

The Minnesota Twins have announced that all fans holding tickets to the Saturday, June 9 weather-delayed game against the Los Angeles Angels will have the ability to exchange those tickets for any future Twins regular season home game (subject to availability).

Tickets may be exchanged at the Target Field Ticket Office located on Target Plaza off 7th Street. Tickets may be exchanged for an equivalent seating location, based on availability. Fans holding premium tickets (Suites, Thomson Reuters Champions Club, CATCH and the Budweiser Roof Deck) will be eligible to exchange their ticket for a future game in the general seating area. Tickets for the weather-delayed game are not subject to refunds.
