Catcher Nathan Flewelling needed just one good day to turn around his entire month.
The Rays' No. 2 prospect and No. 70 in MLB picked up three hits -- including his 19th homer of the season -- and drove in a career-high five runs as part of High-A Bowling Green's 11-2 triumph over Hub City at Bowling Green Ballpark on Sunday.
Flewelling's afternoon began with a soft single to center that ended a seven-game hitless drought, spanning 27 at-bats. But that bloop seemed to unlock something in the 19-year-old, who slugged a no-doubt, two-run homer two innings later. He then stepped to the dish in the seventh with the bases loaded and promptly unloaded them with a line drive off the right-field wall for a three-run double that would have been a grand slam with a touch more loft.

Besides his new high mark for RBIs, Flewelling's seven total bases matched his single-game high as a pro. He previously achieved it on April 9 against High-A Rome.
The 2026 Futures Game MVP, Flewelling has 35 extra-base hits in 93 games this season. Even with his sluggish start to August -- something that is well in the rear-view mirror now -- he still owns a solid .828 OPS on the year.
