Was a three-year letterwinner as a catcher and outfielder at Lambert High School (Suwanee, Ga.), graduating in 2018...was selected to the Georgia High School Association Region 5-7A First Team in both 2017 and '18...batted .375 with two home runs and 25 RBI his senior season...Was undrafted out of high school and went on to attend Mercer University, where he played four seasons for the Bears...played all over the field as a freshman, appearing at center field, right field, first base and catcher...settled into a near full-time catching role by his junior year...was named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List as a junior in 2021, posting a .285 average to go with nine doubles, seven homers and 32 RBI...as a senior, was named to the All-Southern Conference Second Team, leading the conference with 18 homers and 52 walks, while finishing second in runs scored (53) and third in average (.315)…was also selected to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Southeast All-Region Team his senior year...The 2026 season is his second consecutive at Major League Spring Training...is signed to a Minor League contract for the 2026 campaign.

Reached the Triple-A level for the first time in 2025 and spent the entire season with Triple-A Sugar Land, batting .235 (92-for-392) with 53 runs, 18 doubles, 18 home runs, 60 RBI and a .757 OPS (.323 OBP/.434 SLG) in 111 games with the Space Cowboys...set career highs in games, runs, doubles, home runs and RBI...ranked third among Astros Minor Leaguers in home runs and were the most among a player whose primary position is catcher.
2024
Set professional career highs in numerous key offensive categories in 2024, including runs scored (44), hits (76), doubles (16), home runs (13), RBI (40), stolen bases (7) and walks (48)…batted .227 (76-for-335) with a .718 OPS, appearing mostly with Double A Corpus Christi (83 games) after beginning his season with High A Asheville (17 games)…went on to play for the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League in the offseason, batting .218 (16-for-73) with three doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI in 18 games.
