Blue Jays Winter Tour 2013 hits the road with stops in Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Edmonton

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS WINTER TOUR, featuring players and personnel from the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club, will make stops in four Canadian cities in the month of January. The 2013 Tour will include an amateur baseball clinic, a salute to Canadian Forces, fan autograph sessions and other unique local community appearances. The 3rd annual Blue Jays Winter Tour will continue to build on the team's effort to reach fans and communities across Canada.

Beginning in TORONTO with an amateur baseball clinic at Rogers Centre on January 5, the tour will continue west to WINNIPEG on January 6 and 7, SASKATOON on January 11, and EDMONTON on January 12 and 13. Blue Jays players will make a selection of appearances in each city throughout the tour with a complete list confirmed at a later date. As the Official Apparel Partner of the Winter Tour, Nike Canada Corp. will outfit all players and club personnel with Toronto Blue Jays apparel at all stops on the tour.

In Winnipeg, Blue Jays Players will interact with some of their younger fans while visiting ÉCOLE VAN WALLEGHEN before heading to Saskatoon where the Toronto Blue Jays and JAYS CARE FOUNDATION will host a luncheon in support of local community efforts.

In Edmonton, children and families from STOLLERY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL will have a special meet and greet with Blue Jays players. Additional scheduled appearances include an opportunity for fans of all ages to get up close and meet the players at scheduled autograph sessions at POLO PARK SHOPPING CENTRE (Winnipeg), CREDIT UNION CENTRE (Saskatoon) - prior to game time for the Western Hockey League's Saskatoon Blades - and WEST EDMONTON MALL (Edmonton).

"When we re-launched the BLUE JAYS WINTER TOUR in 2010 we had a vision of sharing our enthusiasm for baseball with all our fans across the country. The ability to reach out to communities outside of the GTA has signified our commitment as a representative for baseball for the entire nation. The reaction we have received from our fans on recent tours is an indication that the passion for baseball and the Blue Jays is alive and well and we look forward to each tour stop with much anticipation" - Paul Beeston
