The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with UTIL Ernie Clement on a Minor League contract with an invite to 2023 Major League Spring Training.

Clement, 26, appeared in 70 Major League games between the Cleveland Guardians and Oakland Athletics last season, batting .184 with four doubles and six RBI. Across those 70 contests, the 6-0, 170 lb. utilityman made starts at first base, second base, third base, shortstop, and left field, while also taking the mound on two occasions. Originally selected by Cleveland in the fourth round of the 2017 draft, the native of Rochester, NY, has suited up for 110 career big league games, hitting .204 with 11 extra-base hits and 15 RBI.
