Where Are They Now?
Wohlford Enjoying Life After Baseball

Jim Wohlford loved playing in Milwaukee and thought it was a great baseball town with great fans. During his 15-year career, baseball taught him to work hard every day and always be prepared to go.

Jim Wohlford - OF 1977-79

Jim and his wife, Rae, are currently living on a citrus ranch in Woodlake, CA, just outside of his hometown of Visalia. Rae runs the ranch, which includes 3,000 trees, and they grow both Washington and Cara Cara navels. Jim and Rae have been married for 43 years now and are still going strong. They have two children, Jason and Jeneva, and three grandchildren, Jaedynne, Jazlynn and Joe. After Jim's baseball career ended, he went into the investment business and has been a broker for the past 28 years, currently working as a senior vice president at Stifel Nicolaus in Visalia. Jim loved playing in Milwaukee and thought it was a great baseball town with great fans. Wohlford also played for the Royals, Giants and Expos during his 15-year career, and baseball taught him to work hard every day and always be prepared to go. He will always miss the game but is very thankful to have played in the Majors for so many years. He still keeps in touch with "Stormin" Gorman Thomas, who exchanges emails with him, and also follows baseball and watches the Brewers on TV. Over the years, Wohlford has enjoyed organizing over 30 golf tournaments, believing that giving back is very important and that all athletes should do their part.
