There is still baseball left to be played between the Brewers and Rays, but in the next week, the calendar will shift to November, which is when the Hot Stove starts to get warm. It's also Awards Season.

While the Diamondbacks were left out of the playoff fun this year, they will be in the conversation for plenty of postseason awards.

RAWLINGS GOLD GLOVE AWARDS
The Diamondbacks have four finalists for Rawlings Gold Glove Awards, which ties for the second-highest total in franchise history. Arizona had a franchise-best five finalists in 2019 and 2024.

The winners will be unveiled Sunday, Nov. 1, at 6:30 p.m. MST on ESPN.

Here's a look at Arizona's finalists and their credentials:

(Catcher)
This is Moreno's third nomination -- he won the award in 2023 following Arizona's run to the World Series that year.

Moreno led NL catchers and was second in MLB to Detroit's Dillon Dingler with 14 defensive runs saved while leading all catchers with a 2.0 defensive wins above replacement (per Baseball Reference).

If Moreno were to win the award, he would be the second catcher in MLB history to win the batting title and a Gold Glove Award in the same season. The only other catcher to accomplish both was Twins backstop and Hall of Famer Joe Mauer, who did so both in 2008 and '09.

(Right field)
Carroll has improved by leaps and bounds on defense during his time as a pro, and this will be his second straight nomination after earning his first last year.

Carroll led MLB right fielders in outs above average with +10 and putouts (351), while finishing tied with Cubs outfielder and fellow finalist Seiya Suzuki for first among MLB right fielders with just one fielding/non-throwing error.

Carroll finished just behind Suzuki among NL right fielders with 12 defensive runs saved.

(Shortstop)
This is the first time that Perdomo has been a finalist for the Gold Glove Award after leading all NL shortstops with 362 assists last year. Only Baltimore's Gunnar Henderson had more with 367.

Perdomo tied for third among MLB shortstops with 16 outs above average, and he was second to the Cardinals' Masyn Winn among NL shortstops with eight defensive runs saved.

(Utility)
What a memorable year for Vargas, who unexpectedly became the Diamondbacks' everyday first baseman in April and won NL Player of the Month for his exploits.

Vargas made 74 appearances at first, 56 at second, nine at third, five at shortstop and two in left field.

Among NL first basemen, his seven defensive runs saved ranked behind only San Diego's Ty France (15) and Atlanta's Matt Olson (11).

ALL-MLB TEAM
The Diamondbacks have six finalists for the All-MLB Team, including Moreno (catcher), Carroll (outfield), Perdomo (shortstop), Ketel Marte (second base), Nolan Arenado (third base) and Eduardo Rodriguez (starting pitcher).

Of that group, the only ones who have been named to the All-MLB Team as Diamondbacks in the past are Carroll (2023) and Marte ('24, '25).

Carroll was named as second team All-MLB in 2025.

Of all the candidates, Moreno seems to have the strongest case, as he finished second in OPS (.906) among MLB backstops with at least 400 plate appearances as a catcher, while finishing first among big league catchers with 6.7 bWAR.

The All-MLB Team, which was established in 2019, will be announced Nov. 11 during the fourth annual MLB Awards from The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
