Dodgers @ Padres

1-0, 2.77 ERA, 27 SO
Kershaw's fastball velocity isn't what it used to be, but the lefty has made great strides in accepting what he can and can’t do. His sliders are sharper, varying in speed and he’s getting more comfortable with the changeup, which has always been his least consistent offering.
LHP
2-3, 4.30 ERA, 34 SO
Lauer is hoping a calendar change can help his results after going 1-3 in April. The lefty aims to avoid the one mistake that shortens his outings, as he's yet to go longer than six innings this season.

0-0, 3.60 ERA, 9 SO
Hill's season debut against the Pirates was solid, one earned run allowed in six innings with six strikeouts and no sign of the knee strain that sidelined the lefty for a month. He’s 39 and injury-prone, but he still has a nasty curveball.
LHP
3-2, 5.00 ERA, 36 SO
Lucchesi faced the Dodgers three times last year, without much success. The Padres lost all three of those starts, and he allowed 13 runs in 12 2/3 innings. This year, Lucchesi's peripheral numbers have been much better, even if his results haven't.

RHP
3-2, 4.66 ERA, 34 SO
Maeda has had a choppy start to the season, but he showed improvement against the Giants in San Francisco on Wednesday with five scoreless innings despite plenty of traffic on the bases. The righty's strikeouts are down and his WHIP is up, which has not been an ideal combo.
LHP
2-3, 3.47 ERA, 26 SO
The rookie lefty has dealt with control problems in his last two starts, but he's managed to limit the damage. Few hitters have squared up Margevicius' extremely deceptive, yet not electric, four-pitch mix. The Dodgers will offer another challenge.

Braves @ Dodgers
At Dodger Stadium
RHP
1-3, 5.00 ERA, 40 SO
Gausman starts the opener of a rematch of last year's NLDS, which pushes the rest of the rotation back a day. The righty threw just 28 pitches in his last start in Miami, as he was ejected for "intentionally throwing" behind Jose Urena on Friday.
RHP
4-0, 4.95 ERA, 32 SO
Buehler is unbeaten, but his ERA (5.22) and WHIP (1.193) are up from his rookie season, and his strikeout-per-nine-innings rate (7.4) is down. His 3.41 FIP offers encouragement that pitching deep into October isn’t having an adverse effect in 2019.

LHP
4-2, 2.97 ERA, 34 SO
Fried put together his best start of the young season his last time out, allowing just one run on four hits with seven strikeouts over seven innings vs. the Padres on Wednesday. He had not issued a walk in his last two starts.
LHP
4-1, 2.03 ERA, 45 SO
Ryu has yet to allow more than two runs in any start this season. He held the Giants to one run in a season-high eight innings last time out, with no walks, four hits and six strikeouts. Ryu tops the Majors with an average of 0.5 walks per nine innings.
