Indians recall RHP Josh Tomlin; option OF Tyler Holt to Triple-A Columbus
CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the Major League roster:
Recalled RHP JOSH TOMLIN from AAA Columbus.
Optioned OF TYLER HOLT to AAA Columbus.
Activated OF NYJER MORGAN from 60-day DL and released player.
Tomlin begins his second stint with Cleveland for his start tonight against the Cincinnati Reds in Progressive Field. Josh was in the rotation from May 6-July 25, going 5-7 with a 4.47 ERA in 15 games/14 starts (86.2IP, 93H, 53R/43ER, 10BB, 77K). Around his stint in Cleveland he owns a record of 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA in 6 starts for Triple-A Columbus (40.0IP, 26H, 10R/ER, 10BB, 33K, .191AVG), the most recent of which came on July 31 vs. Louisville (5.0IP, 4H, 2R/ER, 1BB, 4K).
