2020 Season Updates

4/30/20 Update

The Miami Marlins have set in place the following fan-first policy for the 2020 MLB season and impacted games:

The Marlins will provide Marlins Members (season ticket members), suite holders, groups and single-game ticket buyers who purchased directly through the Marlins an account credit with bonus for all impacted games (a list of such games can be found at which will be eligible to be used for other Marlins 2020 regular season home games at Marlins Park as well as Marlins 2021 regular season home games at Marlins Park. The provided credit for impacted tickets will include the ticket price paid plus a 10% bonus as well as the ticket fees paid (pro-rated as appropriate) for the impacted tickets and is non-transferable.

Ticket holders for all impacted games who purchased directly through the Marlins may alternatively request a refund for amounts paid (ticket + fees) for impacted tickets. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] or 501 Marlins Way, Miami, FL 33125.

4/24/20 Update

Miami Marlins to Host Weekly Drive-Thru Food Distribution at Marlins Park

The Miami Marlins and Miami Marlins Foundation continue their active roles in providing support to the South Florida community through the Home Plate Meals Relief Fund. Beginning on Wednesday, April 29, Marlins Park will host a weekly drive-thru only food distribution in partnership with Farm Share.

The weekly food distributions will take place every Wednesday, beginning at 1 p.m., through the month of May on the east side of the ballpark at the Humana Lot (1390 NW 6th ST, Miami, FL, 33125) of Marlins Park. Approximately 500 families will receive fresh meals and/or non-perishable items. Recipients must enter the lot by heading east on NW 7th Street and then south on NW 14th Avenue.

COVID-19 Collection Site Established Outside Marlins Park

Miami-Dade County has opened a drive-thru collection site on the west parking lots adjacent to Marlins Park for anyone 18 years of age or older who need testing for COVID-19. Residents must contact the County Call Center at (305) 499-8767 to make an appointment or for more information.

3/19/20 Update

Puerto Rico Series Canceled

The San Juan series scheduled for April 28 – April 30, 2020 between the New York Mets & Miami Marlins at Hiram Bithorn Stadium has been canceled due to the delayed opening of the 2020 MLB season.

Refunds to ticket purchasers will be processed by Ticketpop over the next few weeks. All credit card transactions will receive a refund starting Friday, March 20, 2020 to the credit card used for purchase. It should be reflected in your account statement between 5 to 10 business days depending on your banking institution.

Customers who paid in cash or debit card (ATH): they must send an email to [email protected] to receive instructions on their method refund.

When will the season start?

Major League Baseball, following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) restricting events of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks, announced the start of the 2020 regular season will be delayed through at least early May in accordance with that guidance. The situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve very rapidly. The Marlins are monitoring this situation closely and remain in close contact with MLB, government officials, medical professionals, and other relevant parties to make sure that we are apprised of the latest developments regarding this virus. At this time, we are not sure the extent to which this season will be impacted by this decision.

Will the Marlins play all 162 games in 2020?

On March 26, Major League Baseball announced that the first two weeks of the season would be canceled. The Marlins are awaiting any additional information from MLB, should there be any, in regard to the remainder of 2020 schedule and, in particular, the home game schedule at Marlins Park.

I purchased tickets to a Marlins home game in March, April or May, what do I do now?

The full extent to which the 2020 home game schedule will be impacted by the delayed start to the season is not yet known. Ticket holders should retain any tickets which were purchased for games now impacted by the delay to the start of the season. Please see the above update from April 29 in regard to the Marlins’ ticket policy for these impacted games.
