Jorge Soler, Blake Snell and Jung Hoo Lee, Giants

Soler was placed on the injured list on Wednesday with a right shoulder strain. Soler hurt the shoulder in his final at-bat of last Saturday's game against the Phillies and sat out the next three games.

Snell (left adductor strain) will throw his third bullpen session on Thursday. If all goes well, the left-hander will be sent on a rehab assignment with Single-A San Jose on Sunday.

Lee fouled a ball off his left foot during Wednesday night’s win over the Rockies at Coors Field. Lee's foot was sore on Thursday morning, so he was held out of the starting lineup for the series finale. More >

Dansby Swanson, Cubs

Swanson was held out of Wednesday's lineup to rest his right knee, which he originally injured on a slide on April 25. More >

Ryan Pressly, José Urquidy, Chas McCormick and Cristian Javier, Astros

Pressly hasn't pitched since May 3 due to lower back soreness. Manager Joe Espada said that the Astros are employing caution with how he'll be deployed in the coming days.

Urquidy (right forearm strain) threw a live batting practice session on Tuesday. Espada said the right-hander will likely begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land this weekend.

McCormick (right hamstring discomfort) has begun taking batting practice and participating in outfield work. He could start a rehab assignment this weekend.

Javier (right neck discomfort) will rejoin the rotation and make a start against the Tigers this weekend. More >

Kris Bryant and Nolan Jones, Rockies

Bryant (lower back strain) joined his teammates for infield practice and ran in the outfield on Wednesday. He also hit in the batting cage. Manager Bud Black said Bryant "most likely" will need a Minor League rehab assignment.

Jones (lower back strain) will ramp up baseball activities on Friday or Saturday. He will more than likely need a Minor League rehab assignment before he returns, Black said on Wednesday. More >

Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers

Kershaw completed his second bullpen session of his rehab on Tuesday, throwing 20 pitches. Kershaw is still a few months away from returning, but the 'pens are a big step in the right direction for the left-hander. More >

Eduardo Rodriguez, D-backs

Rodriguez (left lat strain) will begin a throwing program soon. A recent MRI showed very positive results, manager Torey Lovullo said Thursday. More >

Dane Dunning, Rangers

Dunning landed on the injured list on Wednesday with a right rotator cuff strain, joining fellow starters Nathan Eovaldi, Max Scherzer, Jacob deGrom, Cody Bradford and Tyler Mahle on the IL. More >

Christian Encarnacion-Strand, Reds

Encarnacion-Strand was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a right-hand fracture. More >

Willson Contreras, Cardinals

Contreras was placed on the 10-day IL Wednesday with a left forearm fracture. He is expected to be out for six to eight weeks. More >

Gerrit Cole, Jasson Domínguez and Oswald Peraza, Yankees

Cole (right elbow discomfort) threw another bullpen session on Tuesday and is expected to do further rehab work at the Yankees' Tampa complex during their weekend road trip.

Domínguez (right UCL tear) is expected to be ready to play in Minor League rehab games by mid-May, per manager Aaron Boone.

Peraza (right sub-scapular strain) began his rehab assignment with Single-A Tampa on Tuesday. He is still expected to be several weeks away from being ready to play in Major League games. More >

Brayan Bello, Garrett Whitlock and Masataka Yoshida, Red Sox

Bello (right lat strain) made a rehab appearance with Double-A Portland on Tuesday, throwing 2 2/3 innings, and could be activated as soon as Sunday.

Whitlock (left oblique strain) threw a two-inning bullpen session on Tuesday and is scheduled to throw a live BP session on Friday.

Yoshida (left thumb strain) got a second opinion with a hand specialist on Wednesday, but the DH and the Red Sox are still gathering information before deciding what is next. Yoshida is hoping to avoid surgery. More >

Edward Cabrera and Jesús Luzardo, Marlins

Cabrera was placed on the 15-day IL Wednesday with a right shoulder impingement, the same injury that delayed his 2024 debut.

Luzardo (left elbow tightness) is set to rejoin the Marlins' rotation this weekend. More >

Ryan Pepiot, Brandon Lowe and Pete Fairbanks, Rays

Pepiot was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left lower leg contusion. The move came after he was hit by a 107.5 mph comebacker during Sunday's game. More >

Brandon Lowe (right oblique strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, going 1-for-2 with a double and a walk while playing five innings at second base.

Fairbanks (nerve-related issue) also began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, working around two hits to pitch one scoreless inning. More >

Tylor Megill, Mets

Megill, who is recovering from a right shoulder strain, threw four hitless innings with seven strikeouts Tuesday for Triple-A Syracuse. More >

Alec Marsh and Kris Bubic, Royals

Marsh (right elbow contusion) is expected to return to the rotation on Friday against the Angels.

Bubic made a one-inning rehab appearance with the ACL Royals on Tuesday, his first since undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2023. More >

Yimi García, Blue Jays

García (lower back) is eyeing a return on Friday. Although he wasn't placed on the injured list, García has not pitched in a game since April 28 due to the back issue. More >

Taylor Saucedo and J.P. Crawford, Mariners

Saucedo (right knee hyperextension) was placed on the injured list Wednesday, one day after he awkwardly stepped on first base and collapsed while covering the bag.

Crawford took swings in the cage at the team’s facility in Arizona and manager Scott Servais said he liked what he saw from video of Crawford’s swing. Crawford sustained a right oblique strain during batting practice on April 24. More >

Tyler Matzek, Braves

Matzek was placed on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with left elbow soreness. The Braves are hoping Matzek is just dealing with some of the same discomfort many pitchers experience after returning from Tommy John surgery. More >
