Yankees Minor Leaguer Alcantara Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that New York Yankees Minor League right-handed pitcher Brayan Alcantara has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Alcantara, who is currently on the roster of the Club's Dominican Summer League team, will be effective at the start of the 2015 DSL season.
