Philadelphia's Galvis Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Philadelphia Phillies infielder Freddy Galvis has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a metabolite of Clostebol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Galvis is effective immediately.
