MLB.com At Bat updated for Opening Day

All decisive videos and review explanations for MLB's historic expanded instant replay to be available

New York, NY, March 31, 2014 - MLB.com At Bat, annually the highest-grossing sports app since it debuted as one of the original 500 mobile apps on the Apple App Store in 2008, has been updated by MLBAM in preparation for Opening Day of the historic 2014 MLB season and the introduction of expanded instant replay for every regular season and Postseason game. The app is available across iPhone, iPad, supported Android smartphones and tablets, Amazon Kindle Fire, BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone 8.

MOBILE VIDEO - EXPANDED INSTANT REPLAY

At Bat has been advancing the user experience for HD quality mobile video since that 2008 launch when the app "only" included in-progress highlights. One year later, it became the first app to stream live video and since has continued to bring new video-driven features to its millions of fans, including blackout free live look-ins, the MLB.TV Game of the Day, live statistical overlays such as pitch tracking and an archive of Classic Games.

Beginning in 2014, MLB will introduce expanded instant replay and At Bat, again, will be the go-to app for this new mobile video experience. MLBAM's mobile developers have built an easy-to-use and reliable video integration so fans will be able to watch every decisive instant replay video clip and live look-ins to manager challenges as well as see a complete review explanation in Gameday. These new mobile video features will give fans complete insight into every instance of the new instant replay system.
