"October Writes Itself" Postseason marketing campaign debuts with spot during MLB All-Star Game on FOX

As the battle for home-field advantage in the World Series unfolds during tomorrow night's MLB All-Star Game on FOX, the race for October becomes top of mind for baseball fans everywhere. In preparation for the pennant races about to heat up, MLB during the All-Star Game broadcast on FOX will debut the first spot in its new "October Writes Itself" campaign.

The high-energy spot demonstrates how anything can happen when everything is on the line come October, with highlights of recent dramatic, unforgettable Postseason moments featuring David Freese, David Ortiz, Yasiel Puig, Pablo Sandoval and many others.

"October Writes Itself" builds off the season-long multi-media marketing campaign "For the Love of Baseball," which celebrates everything that makes baseball special and shows off the unique abilities of its players. Now, that same approach is taken to deliver what makes MLB's Postseason so special. The creative will be followed up with social, digital and mobile extensions that encourage fan engagement.

The first spot is available online today at MLB.com and MLBFanCave.com. In addition to tomorrow night's All-Star Game broadcast on FOX, the spot will also run on ESPN, Fox Sports 1, TBS, MLB Network, MTV2 as well as local RSNs across the country.

The new spot was created by BBDO, MLB's new marketing partner, in conjunction with the league. Additional creative will debut over the next two months as the Postseason nears.
