Walker takes Southern League Home Run Derby title

Twins No. 12 prospect leads Minors in homers and won Florida State League Home Run Derby last year

Adam Brett Walker won't stop slugging.

The current Minor League home run leader (19) took a break from shelling Double-A pitchers on Tuesday night and instead ripped 13 homers -- more than all of the other participants combined -- to win the Southern League Home Run Derby.

Of course, the title of "Derby Champion" isn't new to the Twins' No. 12 prospect. He outslugged several other prospects for the Florida State League Derby title last year. If anything, Tuesday night's show proved that he's still swinging a powerful bat.

The 23-year-old is hitting .270/.325/.585 with 17 doubles, two triples and 59 RBIs this season and is well on his way to setting new career highs in home runs (27), RBIs (109), doubles (31) and slugging percentage (.526).
