Hamilton makes spring debut vs. Lincecum

Red Sox-Cardinals rematch among nine games scheduled to air today on MLB.TV

With two weeks remaining in Spring Training, Angels slugger Josh Hamilton is scheduled to make his highly-anticipated Cactus League debut on Monday afternoon.

Hamilton, three weeks removed from a left calf strain sustained during a baserunning drill, is expected to start for an Angels split-squad against the visiting Giants at 1:05 p.m. PT in a game that is available live on MLB.TV. The outfielder will be tested early at the plate against Giants ace Tim Lincecum, who looks to continue his superb spring. The two-time National League Cy Young Award winner has allowed just two runs over 9 1/3 innings in the Cactus League.

Meanwhile, the Angels' travel squad will play the Cubs at the same time on MLB.TV. Joe Blanton will start for the Halos, with Edwin Jackson getting the ball for Chicago.

Twins shortstop Pedro Florimon is also slated to make his spring debut when Minnesota hosts an Orioles split squad at 7:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. Florimon has been out for nearly a month while recovering from an appendectomy. O's newcomer Ubaldo Jimenez will start opposite Twins right-hander Kevin Correia.

Another spring debut is on tap in the Cactus League, with Reds reliever Jonathan Broxton scheduled to pitch against the Indians at 3:05 p.m. CT on MLB.TV. Broxton has not appeared in a game since he had surgery to repair a torn flexor mass in his right forearm in August. Mike Leake will start for the Reds, who will wear green uniforms. Corey Kluber gets the start for the Indians, with John Axford and Josh Outman also slated to pitch.

Jose Abreu returns to the lineup for the White Sox against the visiting Brewers at 3:05 p.m. CT. Felipe Paulino is scheduled to start for Chicago, who will take a look at the speedy Micah Johnson in the leadoff spot and at second base. Kyle Lohse will toe the rubber for Milwaukee.

In the final game available on MLB.TV, Matt Harrison makes his first Cactus League start for the Rangers against the Royals at 8:05 p.m. CT. Harrison is scheduled to pitch two innings as he continues to progress from a back injury. Yordano Ventura, 22, will start for Kansas City, looking to strengthen his bid for a spot in the rotation.
