A's Donate Full Postseason Share to Charity
It was already easy to root for veteran slugger Jonny Gomes. Gomes, who recently signed a two-year contract with the Boston Red Sox, has a fun-loving personality and crushes long homers. Plus, the guy named his dog after Jägermeister.
It will now get even easier.
According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, Gomes urged his Oakland A's teammates to set aside a full share of their Postseason winnings for charity. His teammates agreed.
#Athletics' postseason shares worth $34,325.16. A's awarded 51 full shares, including one to charity at the urging of Jonny Gomes.

A classy move by Gomes.
