Astros Extend Partnership with SportsTalk 790 AM Radio

Games will remain on SportsTalk 790 AM

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros and iHeartMedia Houston today announced a four-year agreement to keep SportsTalk 790 AM, Houston's Live & Local Sports Talk radio station, as the radio home of the Astros.

In 2015, SportsTalk 790 AM will once again broadcast all 162 Astros regular season games as well as virtually every Spring Training game. The pregame and postgame shows will continue as well. Play-by-play man Robert Ford and color analyst Steve Sparks will return for a third season as the Astros radio broadcast team.

"They have been a great partners for many years, presenting Astros baseball in a first-class manner. With this agreement, Astros fans will continue to enjoy entertaining game broadcasts as well as quality pre and postgame shows."

The Astros first Spring Training game will be March 5 vs. the Philadelphia Phillies at Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, FL. The 2015 regular season opener will be Monday, April 6 vs. the Cleveland Indians at Minute Maid Park.

Astros programming on SportsTalk 790 also includes Astroline, a live, weekly, offseason talk show featuring Astros players and front office personnel as guests. Last night's Astroline guest was new Astros shortstop Jed Lowrie. Ford and Sparks alternate as hosts.
